2020 Acura RDX Review, Price, Specs

2020 Acura RDX

2020 Acura RDX is only slightly changed from the last model, which make of it only a new version of the third generation of the model. Knowing that first and the second generations were not being able to compete with the models in the highest class, like BMW X3, Cadillac XT5, or Infiniti XQ50, we were thrilled with the third generation that improved the chances to find its place higher in the class.

As we said, there are no much changes in the design of the 2020 Acura RDX, so the design and look of the car is almost the same as before. It includes a curved rear end with the modern but unusual shape of the rear lights and spoiler on the rear window. The front end recalls on Toyota RAV4, with wide gridded chromatic grille and squared front lights. Yes, you will recognize a version of Honda CR-V in RDX, too, and you will not be wrong. The model is made on the same platform and surely used few details from old brother CR-V.

When it comes to the cabin and equipment in 2020 Acura RDX, there are no many novelties from the last model. It means the same infotainment system as before, with great improvements in details, like the size of the touchscreen and few additions for the passengers’ entertainment. The cargo space is slightly smaller than on last year model, but the cabin space is a little larger than before instead. It is not needed to say that the seats are perfectly comfortable, with leather on them in higher trims. The manufacturer has also improved safety system.

There are no changes in the engine of 2020 Acura RDX from the last model. It means that the standard version includes a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 272 horsepower of strength and 280 pound-feet of torque. That engine is matched with the 10-speed automatic transmission, instead of the second generation’s six-speed one. However, this engine could increase the speed of 60 mph for 5.7-seconds, proving that it could compete with the best models in the class. There are front and all-wheel driving options in the offer, too.

2020 Acura RDX Release Date and Price

The final version of 2020 Acura RDX should be on the market in the summer of 2019. The fans and experts predict the price of at least $38,500 for the base model. As always, that price could be much higher and pass the number of $50,000. Professionals’ recommendation is to choose an all-wheel driving model in Technology trim, which is the best offer for the price.
