The upcoming 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC is a luxurious midsize crossover-SUV. Furthermore, there is also a model named GLC Coupe that trades cargo area for sleeker roofline and better performance characteristics.

It is a 5-passenger model with upscale interior and nicely finished exterior. For 2019 model, entrance lights door are standard now and even a Storage Package is part of a standard equipment.

The GLC-Class is perhaps bigger than it actually looks. Instead of looking heavy and bulky, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC looks both ample and compact. The interior of 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC looks upscale and very artistic. Soft-touch materials are all over the cabin, from soft leather to glossy wood. The interior is packed with plenty of high-tech features and the overall feel is inviting. Additionally, the interior of new GLC is perhaps the most nicely finished interior in its class. Everything inside the cabin is functional and easy to use. GLC offers room for five passengers and the seats are very comfy, both front and rear.

With the F-Cell’s hydrogen tanks that store 9.7 pounds of hydrogen this model is able to travel 270 miles of range. Also, the single electric motor makes 197 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These numbers are enough to give this model a top speed is a governed 99 mph.

The forthcoming 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC offers only one engine and it is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. This drivetrain is capable of producing up to 241 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes with rear or four-wheel drive. It also comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the transmission includes the paddle shifters.

Mercedes claims that the new GLC is fully off-road capable and the German carmaker added a Dynamic Select drive-mode that is perfect for bad road conditions.

Fuel Economy and Acceleration

Fuel economy is not class-leading but GLC is a solid consumer as it spends EPA city/highway fuel economy of 22/28 mpg for the (RWD) system and 21/28 mpg for the (AWD). As for the acceleration, this SUV is able to reach from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 sec.

Mercedes didn’t produce pricing information yet, but the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC will cost around $42,000. Be careful with the options, as they are not cheap, for example, the Designo upholstery and paint could easily take you to $55,000.

However, for $50,000 you can get leather seats, navigation, and adaptive cruise control. Those prices are slightly below Audi Q5 and significantly below Lexus RX 350 and BMW X5. However, the price of the F-Cell model is unknown at this moment.
