2019 Jeep Renegade Caught Once Again: Newest Details

Call us crazy, but there’s something weird here. A prototype of the updated 2019 Jeep Renegade has been spotted once again. However, in contrast to earlier occasions when prototypes were caught with a bit or even without camouflage, the newest testing model gets plenty of the wraps.

This means that the changes won’t be as mild as we suspected earlier. Instead, the 2019 Renegade will get plenty of tweaks, especially in the front end. The vehicle reportedly hides new bumper, grille, and headlights. The lights of the pint-sized crossover should be LED-treated, while the grille should have chrome inserts in the middle. Around back, the refreshed 2019 Jeep Renegade will get a pair of restyled taillights, also LED, as well as a completely new exhaust tips.

We’ve seen the new interior several times before, so we know that Jeep prepares a larger higher-resolution infotainment screen. The screen will be paired with a reversing camera, which will be the standard feature. Speaking of standard kit, the small SUV will likely get a new Selec-Terrain shifter too. Of course, the cabin will host new upholstery and better quality materials.

The mid-cycle refresh will have a positive influence on crossover’s performance. More precisely, we are hoping to see carmaker’s all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that made its official appearance together with the new-gen Wrangler. The rest of the lineup will continue to be the 160 hp 1.4-liter turbo engine, as well as a 2.4-liter mill with 180 horsepower.

The 2019 Jeep Renegade will be introduced before the end of this year, most likely at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The carmaker will probably keep the base price untouched.
