Ever since it was revealed at the 2018 Geneva International Auto Show, the new 2019 Hyundai Kona EV has been keenly anticipated in the European as well as the US market. When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Hyundai Kona EV, this model is going to make its appearance as an attractive and aggressive all-electric crossover. When it comes to safety systems and driver assist features, the new Kona EV will get Hyundai Smart Sense package that includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist and others.


The first option that the 2019 Hyundai Kona EV will offer under its hood combines a ‘short-range’ lithium-ion battery pack of 39.2 kWh and a 99 kW electric motor. Such an option provides a 186 miles range. The fans of high-performance electric vehicles have probably been expecting its other version that uses a 64 kWh ‘long-range’ battery that in new Kona enables a range of 292 miles. It will be combined with a 150 kW electric motor.

2019 Hyundai Kona EV Release Date and Price

The 2018 Hyundai Kona EV will probably hit the US market in the fourth quarter of 2018, but it will be available in the Korean and European market before that. The estimated price of this model starts around $30,000.
