According to the information our team has got, it seems that the new Buick Verano has been on its way to hit the Chinese market only, as a 2019 Buick Verano model. Sadly, the redesign of the second-generation Verano won’t be available in the US market, but the fans will have the chance to see its third generation, probably after 2020.
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Buick Verano, this model is going to hit the market as a four-door luxury sedan. The sedan will remain pretty much the same as its predecessor in terms of body design and you probably shouldn’t expect any revolutionary changes and improvements here. The only possible innovation that has been speculated includes its new VVS-F (vehicle set strategy) instead of the older GM’s D2 platform. There have been many next-generation vehicles that ride on that new front-wheel drive platform that the new Verano will share with them. Some minor updates and refreshments can possibly be found in the front and the rear fascia, but we expect more information about them soon. By now, we can only say that you should expect this model to be more attractive and luxurious than its predecessor. The new Verano should offer standard 17-inch and optional 18-inch aluminum wheels and it will be available in several trim levels.
Perhaps, more serious changes and improvements can be expected inside the cabin of the 2019 Buick Verano. This model will get a brand-new interior design and its cabin will be quieter thanks to its Quiet Tuning system that significantly reduces the external noise and vibrations. The new Verano will offer some comfortable seats covered in high-quality materials that will perfectly accommodate up to five adult passengers. Technology will also be upgraded so the driver can expect a 7.0-inch IntelliLink infotainment touch-screen with features such as navigation, satellite radio, audio system, dual-zone climate control, USB ports, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi hotspot. Some of the advanced safety systems and driver assist features include airbags, blind-zone alert, forward collision warning, electronic stability control, traction control and anti-lock braking system.
The 2019 Buick Verano will use the standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers the output of 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. In higher and performance-oriented trim levels, the fans will find a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that hits 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Both of them will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
